We’re a small team making limited volumes of ultra-premium wine so everything’s personal, including the way we interact with you. The best place to get our wine is from our website, our cellar door or one of our stockists (see below).
Where is your cellar door?
Our Hawke’s Bay cellar door is located in the heart of the Bridge Pa Triangle, one of New Zealand’s most exciting wine regions, known for its exceptional Chardonnay, Syrah and Bordeaux-style reds.
We’re an easy drive from both Hastings and Napier, making Radburnd Cellars a natural stop for anyone after a premium wine tasting experience.
305 Ngatarawa Road, Hastings 4175
How do I visit?
Weekdays - Intimate Guided Wine Tastings (Bookings Essential)
During the week, we host intimate, seated tastings that are guided by one of our team members. These tastings are relaxed, detailed, and ideal for guests who want to dive deeper into our story, philosophy, and wines.
Bookings are essential so we can personally host you and ensure the full Radburnd experience.
Weekends - Casual Joint Cellar Door with Bostock Wines (Walk-ins Welcome)
On weekends, we open a joint cellar door with Bostock Wines.
This is a fantastic option if you’re exploring the Bridge Pa Triangle wine trail and want to experience two small, family-owned wineries in one stop.
Our joint wine tasting includes: Six wines (three from each winery), a showcase across Rosé, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Bordeaux blends. This is $20 per person tasting fee, waived with any bottle purchase.
If you would like the full guided Radburnd Cellars experience during the weekend instead of the casual joint tasting, please contact us in advance. We are very happy to arrange for a member of our team to come in specifically to host you, subject to availability.
What can I expect from a Radburnd Cellars wine tasting?
A tasting at Radburnd Cellars is relaxed, unhurried and personal. We keep group sizes small so we can talk you through:
-
The story behind Radburnd Cellars
-
Our flagship Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot Cabernet
-
Limited-release wines from the Penelope range (such as Rosé and Chardonnay), when available
-
How we source fruit, our approach in the winery, and how best to serve and cellar the wines
You’ll be seated for a guided tasting and have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like, whether you’re a serious collector, planning a Hawke’s Bay wine tour, or simply looking for a special bottle to take home.
There is no formal tasting fee for our guided Radburnd Cellars tastings; however, because we host these experiences personally and in very small numbers, we do kindly ask that guests are prepared to make a purchase if they enjoy the wines.
Do you host groups, private tastings or corporate events?
Yes. We host private tastings, corporate groups and hosted experiences for guests looking for something more tailored:
-
Small corporate teams wanting a premium Hawke’s Bay wine experience
-
Hosted tastings with Kate or Penelope (subject to availability)
-
Special celebrations and intimate gatherings
If you’re planning a Hawke’s Bay wine weekend, client entertainment or a special occasion and would like Radburnd Cellars to be part of it, contact us with your group size, preferred dates and any ideas. We’re happy to help design something that fits.

Why are Radburnd Cellars wines considered among the best in Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand?
-
Experience & pedigree – Kate Radburnd is one of New Zealand’s most respected winemakers, with a long history of award-winning wines. Working with her daughter Penelope, having 2 trained winemakers for such small production is truly a luxury in this industry.
-
Tiny production – We make very small quantities, allowing complete focus on detail from vineyard to bottle.
-
Handpicked fruit from top Hawke’s Bay sites – Sourcing from carefully chosen vineyards, including the Bridge Pa Triangle, gives our wines depth and character.
-
Age-worthy style – Our Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot Cabernet are crafted to drink beautifully on release and also reward cellaring.
-
Recognition – Radburnd Cellars has received strong critical acclaim and international recognition, including being named among the Top 100 Premium Wine & Spirits Brands of the World by Luxury Lifestyle Awards.
